As previously announced, BMB and PFINDER are presenting a GREEN NDT project that has been implemented. The fluorescent penetrant testing of components for the aviation industry has thus become more economical, more environmentally friendly and safer for the testers. Here we present the last part:
BMB has applied for - and received - approval from the local authorities to discharge the wash water into the sewage system using PFINDER 923. This saves the investment and running costs that would have been necessary to treat the wash water.
Important progress has also been made in terms of occupational safety: PFINDER 923 is free of hydrocarbons that would lead to aspiration toxicity of the penetrant. The "health hazard" label with the hazard symbol GHS08 is no longer required. This is important for the safety of testers and another reason why company founder Hans W. Berg opted exclusively for PFINDER 923.
"PFINDER already provided us with excellent support 20 years ago during the approval process for the discharge and still provides us with optimal advice on all GREEN NDT issues today," explains Senator Hans W. Berg.
